The Position :
The National Program Coordinator is responsible for the effective execution and successful implementation of the Canadian and
Luxemburg projects; especially the formulation, implementation, coordination, technical and financial reporting, monitoring and
evaluation of related interventions, in compliance with the national policies and program frameworks and the UNFPA Country
Program in Senegal.
You will report to the UNFPA Deputy Resident Representative.

Job Purpose :
As part of the implementation of the Country Cooperation Programme between Senegal and UNFPA -, two strategic
partnerships have been developed, one with Global Affairs Canada, and the other with the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
The implementation of the programs resulting from these partnerships takes place during the conduct of three successive Country
Programs, from to (CPD 7, -; CPD 8, -; CPD 9, -).
They are based on the offer of an integrated package of quality services to women, young people, especially adolescent girls in
terms of reproductive health / family planning, gender-based violence (GBV), including in humanitarian emergencies.
The Partnership with Canada and Luxembourg focuses on interventions that aim to decentralize services in order to improve maternal
health and family planning indicators, and to provide adolescents and young people with quality sexual and reproductive health
services, including the prevention and management of GBV. Thus, they will make it possible to cover the regions located respectively
in the north (Saint-Louis, Matam, Louga), the center (Kaffrine and Fatick) and the south of the country (Kédougou, Tambacounda,
Sédhiou, Kolda and Ziguinchor).
You would be responsible for :
A. Coordination of the implementation of the Canadian and Luxembourg projects in line with the Country Program
Provide substantial support to the coordination and operations of the CO Reproductive Health Unit Ensure the establishment, support, follow-up, and coordination of the different governance mechanisms of the projects (COPIL, CNT, ...)
B. Improvement of Results-Based Management : Strengthening the program monitoring and evaluation framework for an effective and quality information management and sharing system
Report on projects progress, identify constraints and shortcomings and recommends corrective actions.
C. Strengthening advocacy, partnership and resource mobilization
Support the country office's efforts in mobilizing resources to strengthen RH management, prepare appropriate technical
Enhance UNFPA and the donors visibility in the context of the projects by producing evidence on the relevance of the interventions and results achieved; and implementing an effective communication plan
Develop new partnerships and strengthen existing ones, including the relationship with donors.
Carry out any other duties as may be required by the Country Representative.
Qualifications and Experience :
Education :
Advanced university degree in health or relevant social sciences (at least a Master degree).
Knowledge and Experience :
Strong field experience
Good command of basic computer software : Word - PowerPoint - Excel.
Languages :
Fluency in French; proficiency in English.
